Right: Come December, with barely a 1000 miles on the clock, "GRII" would run "Fast-Sweep" in the '85 SCCA Carson City International Pro-Rally. Covering nearly 1000 miles in just over a day, "GRII" never miss a beat! Note the hardtop (for winter & racing protection) and six lamps up front.
During the Pro-Rally it was found that the handling had changed somewhat, this due to the lighter Rover V8 fitted. In the end however, it was an easy vehicle to drive fast down the dirt & gravel roads. During the paved hill climb at Virginia City, "GRII" caught and passed the
WCBR Range Rover of Bret Morshead & Eric Tucker! Top speed for "GRII" was approx 110+ mph… it does have the aero dynamics of a brick.
In order to build vehicles such as this, one must have time and money, for
without both, you just won't have a vehicle such as this. Over the years
West Coast British/WCBR has rebuilt, restored or modified a number of Land
Rovers.
